The Work includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition, site improvements for accessibility and safety, general interior renovation, expansion of the Children’s Area into the existing exterior loggia, replacement of all glazing, new trash enclosure, removal of existing elevator and installation of new elevator, fire protection, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, replacement of sanitary sewer line to Macdonald Avenue including new connections to the new trash enclosure and connections to existing laterals, new generator, tank and enclosure, roof replacement and photovoltaic cells, new library stacks, furniture and miscellaneous equipment, alarm security systems, protection of existing telecom systems which must remain in continuous operation throughout construction, including temporary secure enclosure, cooling and fire protection, hazardous materials abatement, LEED silver certification.

Description

WICKMAN DEVELOPMENT & CONSTRUCTION, as a Prime Contractor, is seeking bids for all trades from Subcontractors and Material Suppliers for the Project advertised as: REVITALIZING THE HISTORIC RICHMOND MAIN LIBRARY located at 325 Civic Center Plaza, Richmond, CA 94804. General Contractor bids are due to Owner on October 9, 2025, at 3:00 PM.

PLEASE NOTE: Subcontractor/Supplier bids are due to Wickman Development & Construction NO LATER THAN 11:00 AM ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2025, to allow ample time for review.

Participation Goals: It is the intent of Wickman Development and Construction to reach out to DVBE/LBE/DBE/SBE/MBE/WBE firms and suppliers and provide them with an equal opportunity to bid this project in accordance with the goals established and then to fairly review and choose to include complete and timely submitted bids in our bid to the Owner based on cost.

Union Affiliations: Wickman Development and Construction is signatory to the Carpenter’s and Laborer’s Unions of Northern California Master Agreement. All sub-contractors who intend to bid scopes of work to Wickman Development and Construction that fall under the Master Agreement of these unions must also be signatory to these unions or we cannot list them for that portion of work.
